This first week of student teaching was about getting comfortable being in the classroom. I started moving around the room more each day and felt I could interact with the students more comfortably by Thursday and Friday. Also, it was nice to get a feel for what my co-op is like and meet some of the students in the school. I feel I have a little bit of a better understanding of the semester ahead of me will be like.
I would have liked to be able to watch a regular lesson in action this week. However, this week was students spent the class time wrapping up projects and working on their finals. So I feel like I will be going into next weeks teaching a little uninformed.

- I am originally from Seattle Washington and have now lived in PA for three years. I used to dance ballet professionally in Seattle and also in Washington DC. I now currently run my own Ballet School in Benton and will be graduating from Bloomsburg University in May. :) I am also looking forward to getting married in July.
It would be better if our first week of the college semester coincided with the first week in the third marking period in the K-12 schools. It would make our transition so much easier, especially when student teachers do the professional semester in the spring.
